Reading Suggestions

Books with stars on them ( * ) are books that are in a series, and that you should read the first one.
Well, actually, all of the books are series, but this same rule with the star ( * ) will go on throughout the whole year.
Also, the summary is exactly what was written on the back of the actual book. You know, what you always read to see how the book is like.

Uglies*  (this is the first book)
By Scott Westerfeld

Summary : Tally is about to turn sixteen, and she can't wait. In just a few weeks she'll have the operation that will turn her from a repellent ugly into a stunning pretty. And as a pretty, she'll be catapulted into a high-tech paradise where her only job is to have fun.
But Tally's new friend Shay isn't sure she wants to become a pretty. When Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side of the pretty world - and it isn't very pretty. The authorities offer Tally a choice: find her friend and turn her in, or never turn pretty at all. Tally's choice will change her world forever.

Happy New Years EVE!

New Years Eve today! I'll be staying up late tonight, for the countdown! I realized when that countdown ends, mine will begin! Some observation...

I am getting a little bit worried. I might not be able to reach this goal. I am always busy. No. Actually, I never seem to have time, not that I'm busy, if you know the difference... Though I am extremely excited, and confident, too. This assignment will occupy me for a whole year. And it sounds cool.
I really want this website for others to see, too. So people can see the books that I am reading and get some information of how the book is. And read it!
I really hope that soon, this project will be done, all 55 books read.

Happy New Years Eve!

New Years eve EVE! two days to go!

Whew... Time sure flies fast! Two days to go: NEW YEARS EVE EVE!
I got some library books a few days ago... Too bad I already started reading one,,, but it's pretty long, so I'll count it as a book for 2010. And you know what? I thought it would be one of those fantasy books that scare me and I can't read the first chapter, but it isn't that bad! Actually, it's a pretty good book, though so far, nothing really happened much in the plot. Still, I can tell this is going to be an amazing book...
Two more days!

An assignment

I have decided that this is a blog, and well, obviously, you know that. A blog needs a purpose, so I am gonna make my own assignment. I started a blog, and I obviously have to end it one way or another.

My assignment is about books. Since there are about two days left until 2010, I am going to have something that will last for a year.
My assignment is that I will read some amount of books in one year, 365 days.
I am still not sure how many books, though. I like reading, but I really don't have much time, due to my schedule. If I calculate that I read one book every week, then it would be 52 books. To what I know, I know there are about 52 weeks in a year.

Here is my assignment:

Reading countdown

55 books in 365 days. Each week, I will record what I read and how I like it so far.

This is just so you know, but I am in sixth grade, so I will not be reading Junie B. Jones (which I LOVED and still do...), or I will not be reading some extremely hard book for adults. I will be reading books my level.

I hope I will achieve my goal!

Books you should Read

Since my greatest hobby is reading (besides art), I have decided to make a 'You should read this book' list. This list is for people that are around 6th grade. It is a list of books that I have read that I know is a good book, and I'm sure you'll think so, too! As a sixth grader that likes to read, I know the minds of most kids when it comes to reading. ^^
