Lost and Found

Lost and Found

On a little playground,
sits a lonely little bike,
waiting for its owner
to come and take it on a hike.

Rusted yellow handles,
with a slightly torn seat,
one of the wheels are flattened,
the plastic melted from heat.

On a little playground,
sits a little shoe,
waiting for its owner,
seeming it has nothing to do.

A small and brown sandal,
some parts ripped and torn.
It seems it's been left here,
a while since it was worn.

In an old little house,
sits a little boy named Billy,
he's looking for his bike and shoe,
it's been gone since January.

He sits and waits,
cries and hopes,
watches all the other kids,
ride their bike and jumprope.

He looks here and there,
but can't find it,
his favorite sandal,
the one he used to wear.

He runs left and right,
here and there,
but can't find his bike,
rusted, yellow and white.

One day, he goes once more,
to the little playground he used to go,
the place he he went every day,
after finishing his daily chores.

For the last time,
he looks here and there,
Up and down,

And to his delight,
he finds what's lost,
his sandal and his bike.
